Badfish 18 Lowlands Edition

Simple, Rugged, Ready For Anything

The Lowlands Edition shares the same quiet, efficient hull form as the Badfish 18 Inshore but features rolled gunwale construction, a lighter lamination schedule, and a rugged, minimalist interior to maximize simplicity, utility, and ease of maintenance

Designed around the Tohatsu 30 hp tiller outboard, the Lowlands Edition puts a priority on extreme light weight and shallow draft. Weighing in at just 500 lbs. dry, she tops out around 30 mph with a 30 hp, delivers fuel economy better than some pickup trucks, and floats in 4-1/2” rigged.

Available in tiller and side console configurations, the Lowlands Edition is sold as a “blank canvas,” ready to customize to your specific needs. At the same time, it offers the same level of craftsmanship as the original Badfish 18 and delivers the same exceptional ride quality, performance, and classic looks.

Blank Canvas Concept

The Badfish 18 Lowlands Edition is intended to be a “blank canvas” that can be rigged for whatever you’ll use it for — inshore or freshwater fishing, duck hunting, crabbing, or just knocking around the sounds and creeks. Start with a basic tiller or side-console configuration and then add a grab bar, center coffin box, pedestal seating, pot puller, removable duck blind, or whatever else you need.

Utility Doesn’t Have to Be Ugly

The typical utility skiff has lines like a horse trough. The Badfish 18 LE, though, features a beautifully flared bow, proportions inspired by classic Carolina sportfishers, and yacht-quality fit and finish. It also offers a dramatically softer and drier ride than a typical utility skiff of similar size, along with far better handling and efficiency. All for about the same price!

Light but Rugged

Designed specifically around a 30hp four-stroke outboard, the Lowlands Edition hull weighs in right around 500 lbs. dry, floats in less than 5” of water with a 30hp Tohatsu tiller, and tops out at 30 mph. It’s no potato chip poling skiff, though. Thanks to a carefully engineered lamination schedule, advanced materials, and attention to every detail during the lamination process, the Lowlands Edition is plenty rugged for crabbing, hunting, or whatever else you want to do with it.
